Application
Myristic acid is mainly used as an additive for surfactants, spices, lubricants, coatings, printing inks, metal processing, and spice solvents. Used as a raw material for non ionic sorbitol fatty acid esters, glycerol fatty acid esters, ethylene glycol fatty acid esters, propylene glycol fatty acid esters, etc. These surfactants are used as food emulsifiers, pigment dispersants, and emulsifiers for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. In terms of cation type, the hydrochloride or acetate of myristyl amine or dimethyl myristyl amine can be used not only as a surfactant, but also as a fiber industry additive, emulsifier, and pigment dispersant. In terms of anionic properties, calcium myristate, magnesium, zinc, sodium, etc. are used as dispersants and emulsifying stabilizers in cosmetics, providing good softness to the skin. Sodium salts can be used as defoamers in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
