CAS 178928-70-6 protoconazole
Propethionazole CAS 178928-70-6 is a new broad-spectrum triazole thione fungicide developed by Bayer Company, mainly used for the prevention and control of numerous diseases in cereals, wheat, and legumes. Propethionazole has low toxicity, no teratogenicity, mutagenicity, no toxicity to embryos, and is safe for humans and the environment. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the demethylation of the precursor of sterols in fungi – lanosterol or 2,4-methylenedihydrolanosterol at position 14.
Spraying fungicides at the turning green to jointing stage of wheat can further control the harm of stem rot. In combination with the prevention and control of other diseases at seedling stage such as wheat sheath blight, spray such as single agent and compound agent registered on wheat such as propionazole can also prevent stem rot and powdery mildew at the same time.
