Boiling point 285 ℃, relative density 1.035g/cm3, refractive index 1.43, soluble in ethanol, isopropanol, petroleum ether, benzene, and gasoline, hydrolyzed in an acidic aqueous solution and dissolved in water. If it is easily hydrolyzed in water, it releases ethanol and generates corresponding condensates. Reacting with organic metal compounds, the methoxyethoxy group in the molecule can be replaced by the corresponding organic group. Under the action of organic peroxides, carbon carbon double bonds can undergo free radical polymerization reactions. In the presence of platinum catalysts, carbon carbon double bonds can undergo addition reactions. It can be prepared by reacting vinyl trichlorosilane with anhydrous methoxyethanol.
